Spring Partying In 2010
Ibiza is well known for its Mediterranean climate and vibrant party atmosphere. During March and April in particular the island’s clubs and hotels come alive as Spring Break revellers flock to its shores. There are certainly enough bars, clubs, beaches and activities to keep party-goers entertained all holiday long. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy comfortable accommodation at the many convenient and cheap Ibiza hotels.
Going Out
Ibiza Town and San Antonio are the most well known areas of the island among clubbers. Ibiza Town, located on the south coast, is the island’s capital, while San Antonio can be found in the west. Musical selections at the clubs range from hip-hop and rap to techno or rhythm and blues. Well known clubs include Privilege, which describes itself as the ‘world’s biggest nightclub’, Space, Pacha, Underground, DC10, Es Paradis and Amnesia. Many clubs stay open until 6, 7 or even 8 a.m., which allows holidaymakers to enjoy pre-parties that start after sunset, late night clubbing and ‘disco sunrises’.
Hotels
Ibiza offers plenty of cheap and comfortable hotels allowing guests to get a good night’s rest after an evening out. The accommodation is convenient and functional, providing everything you need in a base for your stay on the island. Options range from self catering – which will give you the complete freedom to eat, drink and sleep whenever you want, to all inclusive – an option which takes away the hassle of cooking and cleaning responsibilities. Apartments and hotel rooms in the San Antonio Town area can be found for around £10 per person per night, while in Ibiza Town 4 star hotel accommodation can be found from around £15 per person per night.
Relaxation
After a long night partying most Spring Break visitors can be found relaxing on one of Ibiza’s many beautiful beaches. The region around Ibiza Town alone boasts seven different beach areas – including the well known Playa d’en Bossa, the longest beach on the island. Here visitors will find numerous cafes and bars, including the Bora Bora Bar. For a more serene beach setting, head to Cala Jondal where you can still enjoy a wide range of bar and restaurant offerings in a more relaxed atmosphere. If you want to mingle with celebrities, visit Las Salinas in the south, an area allegedly frequented by Kate Moss, Jade Jagger and other stars.
Ibiza has plenty of cultural and active pursuits for those with a bit more day time energy. The Las Salinas salt flats, one of the island’s most well known landmarks, and the C’an Marca Caves, which are full of interesting stalactite and stalagmite formations are two noted natural wonders. Active holidaymakers can also participate in virtually any water sport imaginable, including waterskiing, sailing, jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing.
