Where to get married in Las Vegas

The Entertainment Capital of The World is ever-growing in terms of the amount of visitors it receives each year, as well as how many people travel to the city to make a new life for themselves. Its popularity and fame for shows and casinos has become cemented by its portrayal on film and television. Today, a simple wedding has become increasingly desirable as a choice for many couples from around the world – and there are now many tour operators offering cheap flights to Las Vegas. So, are all those wedding chapels the same?

The Chapel of the Flowers is situated right on Las Vegas Boulevard South and is seemingly out of place on the legendarily bustling street. Unlike the presumptions about the venues in this area, The Chapel of the Flowers is serene and remarkably classy, being described as having ‘the prettiest décor of any free-standing wedding chapel in Las Vegas,’ by Bride’s Magazine. They actually offer the choice of three differently styled chapels on their impressive grounds: the traditional Victorian Chapel, the more modern Magnolia Chapel, and the Mediterranean La Capella Chapel.

It’s perhaps unsurprising that many to-be-weds who visit Las Vegas aren’t entirely enthusiastic about trying to recreate the traditional wedding day, hence the popularity of the Graceland Wedding Chapel. Here the theme is popular culture, and you can even have Elvis Presley (or near enough) give the bride away. Graceland is actually one of the oldest established wedding chapels in the city, and has even been used by such stars as Billy Ray Cyrus, members of KISS, and Bon Jovi, who performed an impromptu performance in the car park.

One step beyond Graceland is the DooWop Diner Wedding Chapel. Here you literally step back into the fifties, with chequerboard tiles, turquoise walls, and a jukebox to slow dance to after the vows have been said. Here, an Elvis impersonator will actually conduct the ceremony, and the wedding can even be broadcast live over the internet.

The final chapel on our list is Mon Bel Ami. This venue is more of a traditional Las Vegas wedding chapel, decked out in gold, and adorned with large bouquets and cherubs. The owners, Pat and Donna, are clear that the service is unlike the in and out shindig offered by other Vegas establishments. Here, care can be achieved and time can be taken to ensure the most memorable day with a champagne reception, custom bridal bouquets, and even a limo service.
