Do you manage a travel site?
The online travel industry is a competitive market. For small companies or projects it is hard to compete with the marketing efforts of the big players. But even small projects, guesthouses, local travel companies are able to draw attention, get a decent listing position in search engines and find new customers via their website.
I did the Internet promotion for a small NGO with no budget – just relying on free traffic and free advertisement. It worked and we were able no only to get a high ranking in all major search engines for relevant keywords but also have a constant increase in visitors to our website and people interested in our work.
This was not accomplished over night. It took about a year of continual work on the website and promotion. Work will continue and I will learn more and see what works and what does not. It’s a constant learning process, the Internet changes all the times and new developments require at least a good look at them. For me it is fun and I learned so much during the past year.
If you manage the website of a small travel company, hotel or NGO you will know that it can be time consuming and frustrating at times. But once all your work shows success it is agreat feeling.
